Ontario’s Online Gambling Revenues $124 Million in Three Months

Between April and June 2022, the 18 licensed online gambling operators in Ontario, Canada generated CA$162 million (US$124 million) in combined revenue. Information is from a report recently published by gambling regulator iGaming Ontario (iGO).

License sales for the quarter were CAD$4.1 billion (US$3.1 billion). The total number of authorized online casino sites and online betting shops totaled 492,000 accounts, with an average spend of C$113 (USD 86.5) per account.

On April 4, 2022, the legal and regulated online gambling market of Ontario opened. The province is the first in Canada to legally allow online betting.

Licensed operators include BetMGM, Coolbet, FanDuel, Fitzdares, bet365, LeoVegas, Unibet and 888.
