The Ministry of Digital Development of Ukraine proposes to liquidate the Ukraine’s Commission for the Regulation of Gambling and Lotteries

The Ministry of Digital Development of Ukraine (Mintsifra) will submit an application to the Verkhovna Rada on the liquidation of the Commission on the Regulation of Gambling and Lotteries (CRAIL). This was stated by Mikhail Fedorov, Minister of Digital Transformation, in an interview with Forbes.

According to him, the analysis of the gambling industry has shown that the country can do without CRAIL in full. Moreover, Fedorov believes that the ministry could set up automatic issuance of licenses for gambling. The gambling tax law should also change soon.

In his statement, Fedorov noted that the task of the Ministry of Digital Development is to completely eradicate corruption in the gambling sector, make the sector transparent and attract world-class companies to Ukraine.

Fedorov noted the following: «We have removed all the possibilities for checks – taxes are automatically deducted when funds are invested in the account.»

CRAIL is an organization whose main task is to issue licenses for the organization and conduct of gambling in the country.
