Belarus proposes to increase airtime for gambling advertising

The Ministry of Trade and Antimonopoly Regulation (MART) of Belarus has completed work on a new bill, Inna Gavrilchik, head of the Consumer Rights Protection and Advertising Department, reported on the Smart Press YouTube channel on November 23.

A number of provisions of this document also affect the field of gambling, slightly easing the time of advertising on television and radio. To date, the broadcast of promotional videos aimed at gambling and betting is only allowed between 22.00 and 07.00.

It is proposed to increase this time by one hour by allowing advertising of casinos and bookmakers on radio and television from 21.00.

The document has already been submitted for legal expertise to the Council of Ministers. They may have time to present it to Congress this year.
