SBC wrapped up its main events: What were the top industry topics this year?

SBC is an industry-leading events company that organizes global conferences and exhibitions, as well as operates the largest b2b news publisher for the sports betting and iGaming industry.

SBC Events organize some of the largest and most significant international events in the sports, betting, and gaming industries. Being part of the SBC family, SBC CIS presented a review of the most important events under the SBC umbrella.

Following a limited staging in 2021, SBC started its event season with the fourth edition of CasinoBeats Summit in Malta on May 24-26. It was the biggest CasinoBeats event yet, with 2000+ delegates in attendance, a full exhibition floor, and a conference.

CasinoBeats Summit is a high-level event for the online casino representatives. Leaders of the major gaming operators and affiliates get informed by the innovation and creative centers that drive the industry forward. The platform also provides an opportunity for game studios and technology providers to showcase their new products to both Maltese and international operators, platform providers and content aggregators.

Soon after that, SBC held Betting on Sports Europe in London on June 7-9, which brought together major operators across the continent, providing a platform for high-level discussions to shape the future of the industry, share best practices for tackling the industry’s major challenges and ideas about emerging opportunities.

The FIFA World Cup and the changing face of the markets for golf, tennis, horse racing, and esports were among the topics set to be scrutinized by the Betting on Sports Europe 2022 conference and exhibition.

Although plenty of focus went to sports, sportsbooks also looked at the next generation of players and held full-day conference tracks dedicated to the topic of esports. This provided insights on topics like the difference in the approaches to games, cross-selling opportunities in traditional sports and esports, development of an integrity ecosystem, and discovering of the investment opportunities.

In July 2022 SBC started a series of regional conferences with SBC Summit North America

The industry’s largest event for North American sports betting and iGaming companies featured three days of high-level conference content with more than 250 speakers, a 50-booth exhibition, and a busy program of evening networking parties.

Delegates discussed issues such as the need for US-centric innovation in sports betting, the impact of disruptive technologies, player protection solutions, iGaming markets in North America, the Ontario gambling regulation, and the increasing need to build solid relationships with players.

SBC Summit North America also represented one of the year’s best business opportunities, with a host of new sportsbook and iGaming technology and content showcased in the expo hall, and major suppliers using the event to launch new products for the region.

In September Spain hosted the most significant event in the iGaming industry SBC Summit Barcelona. The exhibition was accompanied by the year’s most comprehensive conference agenda, featuring a speaker line-up of 350 senior executives and more than 6,000 representatives of leading companies in the industry.

The Summit covered all the key issues in sports betting, online casinos, affiliate marketing, payments & compliance, and safer gambling: how NTFs will change the betting industry, the gap between iGaming and GenZ, the importance of community building, and many more.

Due to the fact that SBC was unable to host the annual SBC Summit CIS in Kyiv this year, a special panel “Ukraine, CIS & Eastern Europe – defying the headwinds” was presented at SBC Summit Barcelona.

Leading representatives of the industry discussed a wide range of topics, including the tough situation in the region, the challenges, as well as existing regulations.

The panel broke down the licensing and regulation requirements for iGaming and sports betting across Ukraine, CIS & Eastern Europe and discussed the pros and cons of the various market entry strategies for the regions.

The SBC Summit Latinoamérica completed the series of SBC events in 2022. The exhibition and conference gathered around 1,000 delegates and took place on November 1-3.

The event was this year’s best opportunity to access and share information on some of Latin America’s most promising markets, including Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Chile, Costa Rica, Mexico, Paraguay, Peru, Puerto Rico, and Uruguay.

Recently, SBC has already announced details of its conference and exhibitions for 2023. Based on this year’s success, SBC plans to host five events in 2023 in Malta, New Jersey, Toronto, Barcelona, and Miami:
