STS Readies to Exit From the UK and Estonia

STS Group has confirmed that it will begin phasing out its operations in the UK and Estonia to bolster its goal of increasing profitability for investors.

The decision follows successful deals in 2022, when STS strengthened its position as Poland’s largest sports betting provider and accumulated bets worth PLN 4.68 billion (around EUR 1 billion).

In 2022, the Polish market leader generated net gambling revenue (NGR) of PLN 663 million (€142 million), up 17% from PLN 565 million in 2021.

Having achieved record KPIs, STS has increased its active customer base to 783,000 in 2022, with 439,000 new customers signed up and 317,000 players making their first deposit.

At the beginning of 2020, STS became the first Polish gaming group to go international by launching a betting company in the UK.

A series of exits from the UK and Estonia have been announced as the company’s CEO, Mateusz Juroszek, warned investors that STS will have to endure a tougher 2023, which will require full commitment to sustain growth in Poland.
