23 Gambling Executives Have Made the Forbes Wealthiest List

Forbes recently published their 36th annual ranking of the world’s richest people. This year, the list has changed significantly due to the difficult economic situation in the world, the war in Europe, the consequences of the global pandemic, but despite this, it still had a place to accommodate 23 representatives of the global gambling industry.

Miriam Adelson, widow of Sheldon Adelson ($27.5 billion), leads the group of the wealthiest people in the gambling and entertainment industry, ranking 50th on the list. Besides Mrs. Adelson, the list of the world’s richest people boasts the following names of the gambling executives:

166: Louis Che Wu 

Founder of Macau casino operator Galaxy Entertainment Group and Hong Kong-listed real estate developer K. Wah International Holdings

304: Karel Komarek

Karel Komárek is the founder and owner of the KKCG group, established in 1995, KKCG’s activities include lotteries and gambling, oil and natural gas, information technology and real estate.

471: Teddy Sagi 

Teddy Sagi founded Playtech, a gambling software developer, in 1999 and grew it into a $700 million company listed on the London Stock Exchange. 

509: Denise Coates 

Coates, along with his billionaire brother John, is the CEO of Bet365, one of the world’s largest online gambling companies.

509: Mark Sheinberg 

Mark Sheinberg co-founded PokerStars with his father Isai and built it into the world’s largest online poker company. 

552: Johann Graf 

Johann Graf owns the Novomatic Group, which operates casinos worldwide and sells slot machines, video poker and electronic table games.

778: James Packer 

James Packer is the largest shareholder of Crown Resorts, which owns casinos in Australia and London. Packer inherited this empire from his late father, Mr. Kelly.
