Information about sanctions against Favbet is not true

Favbet appeals to the Ukrainian media not to spread false information about sanctions. Favbet is not on the sanctions list as it operates exclusively in Ukraine and a number of European Union countries, including Croatia, Romania, and Malta.

On March 10, the Ukrainian government imposed sanctions against a number of Russian betting companies and lotteries for a 50 year term. The respective Decree of the President of Ukraine No. 145/2023 “On the Application and Amendments to Personal Special Economic and Other Restrictive Measures (Sanctions)” came into force on the date of its publication, its text can be found here.

Important! Favbet is a leading market operator that works legally in Ukraine under valid Ukrainian licences. No sanctions were imposed on the Favbet group of companies.

The wave of black PR against Favbet, which was picked up by some Ukrainian media, has signs of a planned attack that violates all journalistic standards.

Representatives of the company ask the media to adhere to the journalistic standards, carefully study the sources and withdraw from spreading fakes about Favbet and the Favbet Foundation, which currently has 95% of its project focused on helping the country, internally displaced persons and the Armed Forces.
