On August 8, a meeting of the Commission for the Regulation of Gambling and Lotteries of Ukraine (KRAIL) was held, at which a number of decisions were made regarding the activities of online casinos.
The meeting discussed the issue with the Pin-Up Casino, whose activities are carried out through two companies: UKRGAMETECHNOLOGY LLC and VICTORIA-SOFT LLC. The founders and owners of both companies are reportedly connected with the business in the aggressor country.
At the meeting, the license of VICTORIA-SOFT LLC was terminated, and the activities of UKRGAMETECHNOLOGY LLC remained untouched by the committee members. The company had legal grounds to continue its activities in Ukraine.
The letter of the Security Service of Ukraine No. 8/1/4-10177dsk dated October 5, 2021, containing additional information about the relationship of UKRGAMETECHNOLOGY LLC with residents of the Russian Federation, is publicly available.
It also became known that the financial and economic activities of VICTORIA-SOFT LLC are managed by Russian citizens Dmitry Punin and Marina Ilyina. The company VICTORIA-SOFT was licensed in accordance with the decision of KRAIL dated October 20, 2021 No. 644; It was VICTORIA-SOFT LLC that provided maintenance services for the Pin-Up and UKRGAMETECHNOLOGY LLC websites.
Pin-Up Casino assures that it has no ties with Russia. Pin-Up’s CEO Taras Shurubor said in a commentary to journalists: «Pin-Up is a licensed Ukrainian brand that has no relationship with franchise owners in other countries, including Russia. Accordingly, the employees of the Ukrainian office have been and are engaged in the support of an exclusively Ukrainian product.»
