Famous Brazilian football player Ronaldo (9) Nazario became the main star of the recent Betfair advertising campaign. The short video presents a condensed biography of the athlete and an alternative version of his path.
As part of the ‘RonaldoVerso’ campaign, the Brazilian striker explores the Betfair app, experiencing many scenarios in the process that could have happened had he never become a footballer.
Ronaldo’s brother Nilo recreates the look of the two-time World Cup winner, including his famous 2002 World Cup haircut. He embodies a variety of scenarios where he acts as a doctor and, even more funny, imagines Ronaldo playing for Argentina.
The famous former Real Madrid and Inter player became a Betfair ambassador in June 2022. He joined fellow Brazilian teammate Rivaldo to co-develop a betting brand in the South American market.
“I love working with Betfair and I really believe in the project it has for Brazil, encouraging and supporting football and the fans,” noted Ronaldo.
“The company is a global leader in its category and I, as an ambassador, am happy to have the talented team at Octagon at the forefront of the conception and execution of the idea. Even more for the unprecedented feat of having my brother as a double in a campaign. How has no one thought of this before?”, he added.
The campaign was organized by Octagon LatAm, a global marketing and sponsorship consultant, with producers from Umbrella.
