Gaming Innovation Group (GiG) has made its debut on the Balkan market by bringing its services to Serbia through Rizk Casino, which is part of Betsson.
As a leading iGaming technology company, GiG provides its products, services and solutions to operators globally.
Marcel Elfersy, GiG CCO commented: “Our relationship with the team at Betsson continues to offer exciting new opportunities as we expand further into new and emerging markets together.
“Serbia and the wider CEE region is an important focus of growth for us, having built a full suite of tailorable platform and sportsbook solutions well suited to meet and exceed the expectations that leading operators have from their platform partners.”
When the deal was initially announced, Betsson said it planned to launch Rizk in the Spanish and Croatian markets.
In addition to the above B2C brands, Betsson also acquired GiG’s subsidiary, Zecure Gaming, as part of this transaction.
Betsson announced that it plans to use assets, business processes, operations, front-end and middleware, and gaming licenses to support the rollout of its newly acquired B2C brands.
Andrew Valenzia, Betsson Zecure Gaming Commercial Director, noted: “I am optimistic that Rizk will be successful in Serbia, an exciting market for us at Betsson Group.
“I would like to express my gratitude to all the teams involved for their dedication and hard work in making this market entry possible.”
This summer, GiG announced 40% revenue growth in its Q2 2023 financial reports.
