The Ministry of Finance of Kyrgyzstan published a report stating that in 2023, the state budget received over 46 millions soms in the form of taxes from casino activities. Taxes from casino activities began to flow into the republic’s budget only in May, when 17 million soms were collected, in June 7.7 million soms were collected, and in July — 6.7 million soms. In August the state budget received 14,8 million soms in the form of the casino tax. In addition, 14 million soms were collected from sports betting operations. In total, profits from gambling activities in Kyrgyzstan amounted to 47.8 million soms.

Optimove published data showing that the majority of players are tired by the marketing fatigue of gambling operators: about a third of players feel overwhelmed by the frequency of advertising messages. As part of the Optimove 2023 Report of Players’ Preferences in iGaming Marketing, 396 online gaming fans aged 21 and older with a household income of at least $75,000 were surveyed in September-October 2023. According to a study published on G2E, 86% of players do not value excessive or irrelevant emails, text messages and push notifications from gambling sites and unsubscribe as a result. In particular, 30% of players complain about the frequency of advertising messages from operators, while 64% consider this frequency acceptable. Optimove describes marketing fatigue as consumers becoming overwhelmed or demotivated by repeated marketing messages.
Rugby League Commercial and Betfred signed a three-year contract extension, allowing the largest and most extensive commercial partnership in the sport’s history to celebrate its 10th anniversary in 2026.
Betby organised a charity auction to celebrate its fifth anniversary. The funds raised were donated to Common Ground, a community centre located at the Betby office in Riga. These funds will be used by Common Ground to host a Christmas party for children affected by the war in Ukraine. Betby also doubled the amount of money raised through the campaign before making a donation to the community centre.
TrustPay announced its latest Instant Refund solution to streamline payment processing in terms of making refunds. The company said the new offering was designed to “make the refund process faster, easier and more efficient” for both businesses and customers. Instant Refunds solution offers an alternative to processing refunds as regular bank transfers by speeding up the whole process, which could take days if done through a banking institution.
